A new Frozen themed land is set to open – and Disney fans will LOVE it

If you’re family loved the Disney film Frozen, it seems you don’t have to ‘let it go’ just yet – as there’s a whole new ice cold land about to open, dedicated to the breath-taking movie.

With more than 320 million visitors passing through its turnstiles since 1992, the park accounts for 6.2 per cent of France’s tourism income and has been a boon for local employment, employing some 16,000 staff.

Disneyland Paris currently has two theme parks – the fairytale-themed Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. It have a whopping seven hotels with 5,800 bedrooms, two convention centres and a golf course.

In the new attraction, Frozen fans can expect an ice palace, a snow-capped mountain and a stunning lake at Disneyland Paris, which is set to open in the next three years.

The new Arendelle-themed area will be located in an extension of the Walt Disney Studios Park and is due to open in 2023.

If you can’t wait three years to see what it looks like – you don’t have to – as newconcept art has revealed what the ‘fully immersive’ land will look like, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Disney say it will also have an ‘attraction that will take guests to the centre of the kingdom’, however we’re all still eagerly waiting to find out more.

The area will also include a new restaurant and shop and give guests the chance to meet with characters from the movies, such as Anna and Elsa.

Disney explained: ‘As part of the fully immersive land, guests will see the snow-capped mountain of Arendelle in the distance opposite a magnificent lake.

‘The area will also include character encounters, a new restaurant and a shop securing a permanent presence of this beloved franchise at Disneyland Paris.’

OutsidEars, an unofficial Twitter account for Disneyland Paris’, shared what it claims are blueprints for the land.

The account said: ‘We know you were waiting for them, here are the first shots of the future resort of Anna and Elsa at #WaltDisneyStudios at #DisneylandParis.

‘Known today as “Frozen Land”, this new area will consist of an aquatic attraction, sister of the one under construction in Hong Kong Disneyland, two shops as well as a restaurant and a meeting place with two queens of Arendelle. #Insidears.’

Last year, Disney also revealed that their Disneyland Paris resort will get some other incredible new scenes, that will also see Marvel and Star Wars attractions created.
